Bendick, Anna Jane 98, from Oakland passed away on March 31, 2017.  Born June 29, 1918 daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kukenberger) Verhovsek.  Preceded in death by husband Edward, grandson Edward III, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. Survived by children Joann and David Sheridan, Edward and Carole Bendick; granddaughters Meghan Sheridan, Allyson and J.D. Taylor, great grandchildren Sheridan and Joseph Taylor, sisters, Helen Compton, Dorothy Verhovsek, Janet Nicholls and Lois Verhovsek; brothers, Norman and Robert Verhovsek; and many nieces and nephews. Ann was a member of SNPJ Lodge 749 and St. Patrick’s Church.  Ann was a compassionate and amusing lady who loved to help people in need. At Ann's request, there will be no visitation or viewing. Family and friends are invited to her funeral mass celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at St. Patrick’s Church, Fr. Walter Moll. Private committal at Richland Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Patrick’s Church.  Arrangements entrusted to Moskal and Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home, Johnstown.
